Title: A pichação como fenômeno socioambiental na cidade de Manaus

???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: A pichação é um fenômeno que ocorre com jovens nas grandes cidades e centros urbanos. A presente pesquisa estudou esta prática por um viés socioambiental a partir dos significados e motivações dos pichadores. A principal base teórica deste trabalho é a psicologia socioambiental de Ernest Fischer, a teoria dos affordances de James Gibson e a análise de ensignação espacial de Jean Baudrillard. Concebemos ainda que os praticantes da pichação são jovens e através da teoria sociohistórica, não entendemos esta juventude como uma fase, mas sim como uma prática atuante na sociedade. Este estudo teve como objetivo geral investigar os aspectos sócioambientais presentes na prática da pichação no espaço urbano e como objetivos específicos caracterizar as diferentes formas da pichação, que ocorrem em diversos lugares da cidade; analisar as formas de escolha dos espaços e as formas de apropriação pela pichação; verificar as motivações e significados dados pelos jovens que praticam a pichação. Para realização destes a pesquisa utilizou de abordagem multimétodos no intuito de conceber a pichação de forma mais ampla e utilizando a catalogação fotográfica, entrevistas semi-estruturadas, registro em diário de campo. Estudou-se mais de 2.000 fotos com pichações em relação aos tipos de mensagens e lugares de pichação. Obteve-se como resultado que a maior parte das pichações (97%) traz mensagens comunicativas ou não-reflexivas e tiveram como lugares mais comuns lojas, indústrias e centros comerciais (33,9%), residências e propriedades privadas (28,8%) e espaços de uso público (15%). Nas entrevistas ficou claro que os jovens pichadores analisam sua prática como uma forma de vandalismo, necessidade de reconhecimento, envolvimento coletivo na cena, literatura social, protesto, prática ilegal. Além disto, eles veem na figura do pichador alguém que possui vontade de se destacar, mas que se sente incompreendido, marginalizado, diferente e consciente de sua ação e limites. Descobriu-se ainda que os principais motivos que levam os pichadores a agir são busca de liberdade, influência dos grupos, forma de se sentir produtivo, necessidade de contestação, protesto, transformação, adrenalina, proibição, interação com a cena de pichadores, desejo, entre outros. Por fim percebeu-se que a pichação trata de uma relação socioambiental bastante complexa onde os pichadores agem dialeticamente, modificando o espaço da cidade ao mesmo que se transformam no contato com este.
Abstract: The pichação is a phenomenon that occurs among the young in the big cities and urban centres. This current research studied this practice from a socialenvironmental slant after the meanings and motivations of the pichador. The main theoretical basis of this report is the social environmental psychology of Ernest Fischer, the affordances theory of James Gibson and the analysis from the filling of the spaces with signs of Jean Baudrillard. We also conceive that the practicing of the pichação are young people and through the sociohistoric theory, we don‟t understand their youth as a phase, but as an active practive in the society. This study had as general objective to investigate the socialenvironmental aspects that are present in the practice of the urban space pichação and as specific objectives characterize the different ways of pichação, that occurs in several places of the city; to analyze the manners of choosing the spaces and the forms of appropriation through the pichação; to verify the motivations and meanings given by the young who practice the pichação. For this achievement, the research used the multimethod approach in order to conceive the pichação of a wider manner using the photographical cataloguing, semi-structured individual interviews and record on field journal. It was studied more than 2.000 photographies with pichações according the types of messages and places of pichação. It was achieved as result that most of the pichações (97%) brings communicative or non-reflexive messages and they had as most common places: stores, industries and business districts (33,9%) houses and private property (28,8%) and public use spaces (15%). In the interviews it became clear that the young pichadores analyze their practice as a form of vandalism, need of recognition, collective involvement into the scene, social literature, protest, and illegal practice. Besides, they see on the figure of the pichador somebody who feels misunderstood, marginalized, different, and conscious of one‟s actions and limits. It was also discovered the main motivations that lead the pichadores to act are the quest for liberty, influence of the groups, a way of being productive, need of contestation, protest, transformation, adrenaline, prohibition, interaction with the scene of pichadores, desire, among others. Finally, we realized that the pichação is about a very complex socialenvironmental relation where the pichadores act dialectically modifying the space of the city at the same time they transform themselves through the contact with that.The pichação is a phenomenon that occurs among the young in the big cities and urban centres.
