A fisiografia fluvial e a complexidade da paisagem pelo uso e ocupação do solo na ilha fluvial de Parintins-Amazonas

Abstract

This work aims to understand the physiognomy of the landscape in the space-time trail of the modeling drainage of the river island of Parintins. The problem is based on the growth, use and occupation of land, and also the lack of management and planning that comply with environmental legislation (Federal, State and Municipal) relating to the protection of water sources, compromising the river systems that are being polluted. landfilled, deforested in Permanent Preservation Areas. The methodological strategy used is based on Edgar Morin's Complex Thinking approach; and in the Case Study procedural method. Data collection was carried out through documentary research, direct observation, Geographic Inventory Protocol Letter - CPIGEOG, Geographic Information System - GIS. The results obtained confirmed the research hypothesis about the lack of knowledge about the scope of the hydrographic network and the absence of effective public management aimed at environmental protection of these common river resources. In relation to land use and occupation classes, a significant growth in urbanized areas was identified from the 1970s onwards, especially in sensitive environments in Permanent Protection Areas of rivers and springs. The most impacted drainage is the one that is in direct contact with areas with intense urbanization, being the Macurany drainage, including the contamination of its groundwater. Therefore, there is a need to carry out the production of Environmental Services, since the current physiognomy of the landscape can further compromise the quality of Ecosystem Services and the geodiversity of the river island.
