O yaí: os bahsesé e o processo formativo (yaiase) de um especialista em Carurú-Cachoeira do Rio Tiquié-AM

Abstract

This dissertation aims to present the importance of the indigenous knowledge of the Yaí uhtiã Yaiwa põrã group, specifically to the Yaiase practice (initiation), in this way to recover or revive the knowledge of the Yaí that was silenced throughout the "civilizing process" and to deconstruct the paradígmas devised by the colonizer, in order to establish a dialogue with other knowledge. Justifying that this study seeks to point out the importance of yaiase for the life of humanity and in the balance or management of the world. For this, the work on this theme Will take place in the method of Orality, in the transmission, memorization and application that Will be done with the specialists Yaiwa, Kumuã and Bayaroá in the community of Caruru-Cachoeira Rio Tiquié-Amazonas. The Bahsese, Yaiase, are elements of other epistemologies, they have their own reasonalities, emotionalities, other disciplines, diets, rituals, other codes that have powers to qualify the human body and nature. The Yaia, kumua and bayá are others Who master other knowledge, they are different, they have different instruments for dealing with human life and that of other people. We, the Ye'pa Pĩrõ Põrã (Tukano) people, have our stories of origin from the kihti Ukuse (history), Bahsamõrĩ (Traditional corners) and Bahsesé (blessings) world, which are grounded, that is, solidified in the tripod of great Ye'pa Pĩrõ Põrã (Tukano) knowledge and which are indivisible and indispensable to our lives. For us, this knowledge is interconnected and interdependent with other dimensions of the world (water, land, forest and air). The bahsesé have their protective, curative and qualifying system, but also within it they have a dynamic function, integrating beliefs, values and behaviors that hover and shape people's daily lives and maintain social cohesion. For us peoples of the Upper Rio Negro, traditional knowledge is everything that is part of us, what belongs to us, what constitutes us, what is indispensable, what is part of our lives.
