Empreendedorismo cooperativo : gestão e inovação em sete cooperativas agrícolas do estado do Amazonas

Abstract

This study aims to analyze, within the parameters of innovation management, cooperatives in the inland Amazonas that use Amazonian biodiversity as an economic enterprise. It also tries to answer the following problem: how do cooperatives located in the state of Amazonas work on the implementation and/or innovation management process when developing their products or services? To this end, the study seeks to understand the relevance of cooperatives for social emancipation, as well as the social and economic space in which they are inserted regarding the context of their members; to identify existing management forms in cooperatives in the inland Amazonas concerning the use of biodiversity, as an innovation process; to describe the tools used by such cooperatives to stimulate innovation as to the use of biodiversity, therefore, in the process of competitiveness within the scenario of economic entrepreneurship. The study area was selected based on data found with the Amazonas Agricultural and Forestry Development Institute (IDAM), which authorized the research in the cooperatives under its organizational responsibility. It was defined which cooperatives would be investigated, all in the state of Amazonas, due to the understanding that it is possible to reach more effectively a significant portion of the population of regional cooperatives in this geographic space. The study was developed through bibliographical research and data collection through a semi-structured interview. The bibliographic study comprised books, journals, theses, dissertations, and articles on the subject. The plan is to better understand the object studied and delve more deeply into the study and reality of the place. From obtaining the data, it will be possible to answer the questions raised above and demonstrate how the innovation management process develops in those cooperatives, as well as whether the cooperatives studied have a consolidated management model, regarding the use of Amazonian biodiversity, and/or whether the cooperatives studied present different management models regarding the use of Amazonian biodiversity.
